ABSTRACT
The built environment can be designed to take advantage of the beneficial aspects of the climate and modify those aspects that are unfavourable. It should focus on creating comfort not only for internal environments but also outside the buildings. Green areas in an urban setting and around the individual buildings will have an effect on the climatic conditions and will reduce the exterior temperature.
