ABSTRACT
The end of the '50s, and the '60s, appear to have been the most favourable and productive years for the development of musical film genres. The efforts of film makers engaged in this field were mainly concentrated on working in four areas connected with further adaptation to the demands of the wide screen: concerts, ballet, opera, and operetta.
