ABSTRACT
Our age is in a sense anti-rational. If your writings are rationalist in tone, your youngest reviewer is sure to crush you nowadays with the epithet, “Early Victorian,” and say you are “out of touch” with vitalism. The present age is concerned with affirming life as a whole, not Reason as the Lord over Life.
