ABSTRACT

The self or the ego of human natural will is a unity like the form of the natural will, i.e., a unity within a unity as well as a unity which encompasses other unities. The person or the ego of rational will is, as a structure of rational will, a unity by external determination, unum per accidens, mechanical unity. The sphere of the natural will, or the sphere of will per se, is identical with the material substance of natural will that this is conceived as extending to external beings and things. Law is, in every respect, nothing but common will; as natural law it's the form or the spirit itself of all those relationships the substance of which is social life, or, in the most general sense, the union of spheres of will. In the revolutionary, disintegrating, and leveling sense, general and natural law is entirely an order characteristic of Gesellschaft, manifested in its purest form in commercial law.
