ABSTRACT
Theory music is music to illustrate theory and if it accidentally manages to be musical at the same time, that is a bonus, but hardly the real meaning of the work. Theory music is not music that one can attune the soul by. Music as a whole is also an attunement as the composer tries to write down what he or she hears with the inner ear of the musical imagination. Certainly music is a matter of taste, but taste is a matter of culture. Culture is the attunement of a community or society. Technology interferes with art music when recordings are engineered in the studio. World music is the sound of melos in our world in recent times and present day's world music is the true transmission of, and inheritance from, the art music from old Europe and its development as absolute music.
