ABSTRACT
The future of world fisheries1 will be affected by fluctuations in the abundance of fish and living marine resources, along with factors such as technical developments, scientific discoveries, climate change and economic progress. But the dominant factor will be the critical issue of how capture fishing and aquaculture activities are managed.
