ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the ten collectors' profiles to represent a range of collecting interests, ages and geographic locations. Most are collectors with whom the author has had on-going contact over the past few years, in some cases, even longer. This time frame demonstrates the shifting physical and emotional investments made by collectors in the hobby, as their musical interests and life circumstances change. In most cases, the emphasis is on what is collected and why; other aspects of their collecting practices have generally been utilized. The first five collectors are: Peter Dawson (Australia); Lee Ann Fullington (United Kingdom; United States); Hasse Huss (Sweden); Lee Marshall (United Kingdom); and Ian Shirley (United Kingdom). Another five collectors are: Geoff Stahl (Canada; now living in New Zealand); Simon Sweetman (New Zealand); Steve Waksman (United States); Oliver Wang (United States); and Lisa Wheeler (United States).
