ABSTRACT
Allen's workshop, at 11 Sutton Street, Soho (from 1794) was next door to that of Thomas Elliot. He built organs in Peterborough and Lincoln Cathedrals, but seems also to have been well known for his chamber organs, if the comments of Dr Camidge are to be believed (see p. 65). He also made pianos.
