ABSTRACT

Team decision-making review metric is designed for real management teams but it can be adapted for use on training programmes for the development of team skills. The activity is particularly useful for teams operating at the policy level, as it explores 'decision-making competencies'. This chapter improves the quality of team decision making. It provides a model of effective decision-making processes and contributes to the team-building process. In this process, any number of participants may take part at the same time but a facilitator is required for each team. Each participant will need a copy of the 'Assessment', together with the 'Score Sheet', 'The Four Levels of Decision Making' and 'Worksheet'. An overhead projector may be required and pens should be provided for each team. The team is being reviewed by considering how the team has operated in recent weeks in decision-making situations.
