ABSTRACT
William Scales 1 went to see Mother at Harvard, in September 1781; this was his first visit – Soon after he got there, Mother received a special gift of God, to know his design in coming to see them; and warned the Elders in presence of Jonathan Slosson 2 and others, in the words following; There is a man, (pointing to Scales,) that has come to steal the pots out of the Lord’s house, and to consecrate them to Dagon; beware of that man!
