ABSTRACT

I am here at the East House, & my business is to catch, scale, & gut men, not fish. I feel the gift very weighty, & the more so because the ingathering hath been greater then I calculated on – & betwixt preaching to the world, & private conversation, in addition to considerable labors with the believers of our Order, whose number now amounts to upward of 200 souls – I say in all these things I find quite enuf to keep me in employ, & this is my wish. For as I often say, I had much rather wear out than rust out. At any rate, I am justified in doing as I am told – or by living in strict obedience to Christ either in head or members ahead of me.
