ABSTRACT
While Mother was at Harvard, she sent for Molly 1 & I, to come <there> and bring our clothes, in order to stay awhile; but a short time previous to our arrival, a mob had collected & warned them to leave the place, which caused Mother & the Elders great tribulation & sufferings. After we had been there a few days, I went to Mother & asked her to let me live with her. Mother answered, “you cannot live with me, for I have no house nor home; / I have no where to lay my head. The wicked drive me from place to place & where I shall go {next} the Lord only knows; but I trust in the Mercy of God.” She told me to go to Lebanon & live with John Spiers 2 untill she see me again, which I accordingly did, & Mother & the Elders went on to Woburn.
