THIS heading would more correctly have been entitled to a chapter of its own along with 'traitors' in an earlier section of this volume instead of receiving such a late position here.¹ For there is a link between these two species of craftsmen because each, like a sharp razor, gives a treacherous wound before it is felt;² and as soon as it is discovered, it doubles the pain.
