MANY, however, are assisted by trustworthy friends who stand by immediately and gather people, treasures, and everything else of value together. They keep these belongings to be restored complete, and vouch for all the items that have been rescued beyond any expec tations of the owner. Nevertheless it cannot be denied, either, that grasping, thievish hands are about, which seek and find an opportunity to pillage and carry off a great proportion of the goods.
