ABSTRACT

THEY are well aware, too, which kind of dung is fittest to use on sandy, stony, or elevated land, and know how to allot it properly, employing one kind for wheat or rye, another for barley and oats, another for peas and beans, another for flax, hemp, and the very best turnips. Consequently every kind of seed crop, except flax and hemp, grows with fairly long stalks and ears.
