ABSTRACT
THE antlered vessels depicted above are the skilled work of the Finnish Northerners and, as I said before, are called kosa.1 They lack neither grace nor beauty, natural or artificial, since they are shaped from the finest curling roots of the fir tree, which are made hollow on the inside and adorned on the outside with a variety of figures.
