ABSTRACT
IN relating the custom of the Bothnians, or Lapp people, above, I have described how with their natural probity and honest valuation they live by barter, since they are unconcerned with numbers, weights, and mea sures.1 But here I shall illustrate the method of the Swedes and Gotar, by means of which we see them live in greater safety and trade more equitably.
