ABSTRACT
ALTHOUGH in the last chapter it appeared that the whole land had been cleansed from the tyranny of cruel governors, yet like a poison damnable remnants among their accomplices and pupils have endured through their comparable cunning and skill. The more these men were able to show greater loyalty to princes by their feigned obedience, the more they thought to surpass all others in the king's secrets and service.
