THE method by which King Antiochus, called Soter (the Deliverer), overcame such machines of the Galatians you may find set out at some length in Franciscus Irenicus, Bk VI, Ch. 45. He says that Anti ochus had learned of the valour and huge numbers of the Galatians, and that their battle-lines were vigorously prepared and regularly drawn up.
