ABSTRACT
The transcripts of BL Harley MS 2284 and BL Harley MS 4217 follow the approach and conventions used in Queen Elizabeth’s Wardrobe Unlock’d, The 1542 Inventory of Whitehall: the Palace and its Keeper and The 1547 Inventory of King Henry VIII. Each entry has been numbered for ease of reference, with BL Harley MS 2284 numbering 1–1648 and the entries in BL Harley MS 4217 numbering 1–741. In order to distinguish between the two manuscripts, an A has been inserted before the entries in BL Harley MS 2284 and a B before the entries in BL Harley MS 4217.
