THE following request was submitted on August 13th last, by the Editor of The New Light, to the Secretaries and Actuaries of One Hundred Life Assurance Companies throughout the United Kingdom: –
Sir, – Would you kindly furnish me with particulars as on annexed form, for the purpose of publishing in the enclosed Journal [The New Light] accurate information relative to the attitude of your office toward Abstainers and the Liquor trade, respectively.
