ABSTRACT

Searching for a job, keeping our jobs, and advancing to a better job are central concerns in our lives. As jobs entail complex relationships with other people, they constantly raise ethical issues. There can be much at stake in how they are resolved because we rely so heavily on a job-based economy. This chapter takes up some issues related to the job search. The case studies concern sharing interview questions, reneging on an employment contract, inventing a job offer, padding the resume, and being honest with persons interviewing for a job.
