ABSTRACT

The backbone of any school district. Union leaders love to talk about this, albeit, usually, to make an argument for something they need or want, primarily because they understand its importance. A positive tone and climate is the fertile ground of creating a teamwork approach to the mission of the school district. You, as the superintendent, need to address your actions to enhance positive outcomes; you need to heavily weigh the process you use to achieve your ends. Such leaders are most concerned with promoting harmony and fostering friendly interactions, nurturing personal relationships that expand the connective tissue with the people they lead (Goleman, Boyatzis, and McKee, 2002).
