ABSTRACT

Education is not a mystery; it is about purpose, planning, engagement, and application. I have never understood the philosophy behind many of the teacher or administrator training programs. The reason is that in developing these training programs, it is assumed everyone can do it. This is not true and nor should we wish that everyone should try it out. Educators, like a rocket scientists, medical doctors, software and hardware engineers, and the countless other professions, are not a match for everyone. It takes a particular skill set that not everyone possesses. Educators are part artist, actor, mechanic, scientist, specialist (in an academic field), generalist, and visionary.
