ABSTRACT

The authors describe research-based methods that school leadership teams can use as they work together to promote cultural competence and responsiveness through a whole-school approach. Several frameworks have been described in the literature, including school-wide approaches to school organisational development, health promotion, and an emphasis on partnerships between staff, students, and parents. The chapter will include approaches to leadership style, creating a positive school climate, emphasising achievement, and creating fair and equitable culturally responsive discipline policies.
