ABSTRACT

In English there is a difference between demonstratives used for objects close to the speaker (this/these) and objects further away (that/those). Moroccan has the same distinction. For objects close to the speaker, the same form is used for masculine and feminine nouns. This is the demonstrative had. had is almost always followed by the article, and is the same before masculine or feminine nouns.
