ABSTRACT
Values are ideals, which point to proper actions and right ways of living. Values are very important, but they cause many problems, especially in a globalized world filled with diverse cultures. Cultures with conflicting values often have trouble acknowledging each other as legitimate. Because most people see values as non-negotiable, communication and understanding are often not always an option, which can leave only conflict and violence.
