ABSTRACT

In the eastern languages there is a multiplicity of Singular and Plural Suffixes, some of these being of the T/K type, others not. The Self-standing Pronouns are given for a number of languages; in Shatt the forms of the Pronouns used as Object of the Verb are related to the Self- standing forms, and are therefore also given. In the eastern languages the Demonstrative Adjectives require the Determinative Particle. In the eastern languages there is a Particle which would appear to be a Determinative. In the western languages there are several Singular Suffixes, but the general Plural Suffix is -ge or -ke, sometimes instead of, sometimes added to the Plural Suffix as found in eastern Daju. A Suffix -n(V) occurs in all languages, with no apparent significance. Exclusive-Inclusive distinction in P. r has been recorded in some languages; it is not known whether it occurs in the others.
