ABSTRACT

APAM has built a powerful bespoke knowledge database of UK real estate, analysing over 6,000 properties with a value of 50 billion as part of its underwriting, due diligence and acquisition work. The ability to customise reports enables APAM to service each client according to their specific needs and requirements and a dedicated client reporting and accounting team works with the database. APAM recognises that its success is driven by the quality of people that it recruits as well as its own culture. The success that APAM has achieved over a period of just seven years appears to owe much to the inclusive leadership that is strongly in evidence in the firm. This style of leadership creates a culture that inspires creativity, discretionary labour and a sense of well-being and loyalty, all factors that have contributed to the firm’s success.
