ABSTRACT

PageGroup is a leading global recruitment business, which for over forty years has been built on strong organic growth. For PageGroup, being an inclusive workplace means understanding the needs of employees and making them feel valued and respected and this involves using an considerate, generic style of leadership as well as encouraging its people to bring their true selves to work so that they feel comfortable, valued and supported. PageGroup was perceived by employees as having an unusually high level of inclusive leadership with employees also producing high ratings in respect of their self-perceptions of their individual productivity, engagement and work satisfaction. Some interesting differences emerged between the responses of PageGroup and those of the other ten organisations. This shows that the perceptions of PageGroup employees regarding leadership styles and their own individual performance/motivation/well-being changed less over time in PageGroup than in other organisations.
