As Filmmakers move into the screenwriting stage, of course their focus will be on crafting a strong story, creating exciting conflict, developing strong characters and building their world. Every major decision Filmmakers make in their screenplay will have an impact on marketing. In Filmmakers screenplay it will simply be an explosive moment, a huge revelation and death of a character. The budget of the film is determined by the content in the screenplay. Clearly identifying Filmmakers theme and weaving it throughout their script is a very important aspect of storytelling, but it also becomes a central tool for marketing as well. Marketing will be tasked with promising both experiences in their campaign: The entertainment and the deeper layer of emotional meaning. The marketing campaign will use escalation within the materials and throughout the campaign. Marketing uses that cliffhanger toward the end of the trailer as a motivation to get people to buy tickets and come find out what happens next.
