ABSTRACT

School is designed to benefit children who are able to sit still and concentrate. Those who succeed are likely ones who can sit in their seat, listen attentively, read well, and complete tasks independently. Children with special needs may be good at some or maybe none of these. Consequently, many of them may have difficulty completing homework, studying for tests, and organizing their work environment, and may require a lot of parental and teacher help to be successful. While it is not the school’s fault, parents may find it frustrating to find ways for their child to be successful in this type of environment.
