ABSTRACT

In 2016 when the first thoughts for doing this book came into my head I decided that, one way or another, I was going to try to get more cunning into everyday strategic behaviour. A book title that I thought was cunning: How to Have a Cunning Plan a Day. Sadly, a significant number of publishers sniffed at this but it wasn’t enough for them. Undaunted, I left it to my unconscious mind to come up with the solution (Cunning Checklist no. 79), and inspired by the “Joy of Constraints” – the principle that if someone tells you that you can’t do something that you get even more excited and inspired to find a way of doing it (Cunning Checklist no. 31). It also led to these disparate ideas to come together to form the “stunning plan”! (Cunning Checklist no. 82).
