ABSTRACT

Hematopoietic tumors are subclassied broadly into lymphoid and myeloid neoplasms (Figure 3.1) [1,2]. Both categories are further subdivided into immature tumors (acute leukemias, lymphoblastic lymphomas) and mature (chronic) tumors (B-and T-cell lymphomas, myelodysplastic syndrome, mastocytosis, and myeloproliferative neoplasms). Lymphoid neoplasms are categorized into either non-Hodgkin or Hodgkin lymphomas.
