ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the processes needed to check on the performance data for each agreed-upon periodic interval to determine the performance improvement project's progress to date and forecast the expected values for being able to successfully meet the project objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner, or not. It describes project management plan, project documents, agreements, work performance reports, work performance data, change requests, work performance info, verified deliverables, and approved change requests. The number of processes, key Inputs, key steps, and key outputs for the Check/Act Stage–Hybrid Approach should be determined by the project manager and approved by the project stakeholders based on the relative scope and priority levels of the project. The chapter provides the Check/Act Stage, its purpose and scalable framework, its Processes, its nine key inputs, its seven key steps, and its five key outputs for both the "Full" and "Lean" Approaches.
