ABSTRACT
The race and sports book is not completely understood by most people, and that includes the people charged with protecting it. As we’ve seen throughout our discussions, we’ve grown too dependent on our own technology to protect our games and forget the need for regular monitoring. Tremendously large amounts of money can be wagered at a sports book, especially for events such as the Super Bowl or March Madness, which will and do draw the attention of those looking for a score. Of course, as always, the potential for internal theft or collusion with outside agents also exists. With the recent proliferation of sports books around the country the potential for scams to be used against these areas only increases. Investigators be warned!
