ABSTRACT
The investigator must fully understand the purpose of the investigation they have been assigned or are seeking approval to conduct. It is critical to fully understand what the company or tribal policy is regarding the investigation, any special conditions and where your authority starts and stops before starting on your mission. This will always save time, energy and misunderstandings by superiors and interested parties and will give a real direction to the assigned investigation.
