ABSTRACT

There was great excitement amongst the young people in every house in the Palestine Colonies. For those who could not go to Jaffa to see and take part in the Celebration of the “Feast of First Fruits and Flowers,” were trying their best to arrange the same decorations and festivities in their own colonies. Several neighbouring colonies joined together to carry out the decorations, and the young people arranged contests, and prizes were to be given by their elders. Great was the rivalry among the young and even the elder ones, for the reputation of each colony was at stake.
