ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on how to create and deliver a pitch that will motivate listeners to act and implement idea. Creating Action is about generating momentum amongst the people around health professionals so that they start helping to make their concept a reality. External supporters or internal stakeholders within their places of work typically have significant responsibilities and many opportunities to spend their time. To get something significant done in any ecosystem or organization, they need to understand who will support them, who will partner with them, who will resist them. Having a solid pitch is as essential as having a good idea – they must “sell” their idea effectively. The goal of health professional’s stakeholder approach and pitch should be to generate enough interest to make someone want to set up a follow-up meeting or take a first step.
