ABSTRACT
This chapter concludes that increasing authoritarianism of the AKP and the militant nature of the PKK leadership seem to make the peace process futile. This means that the peace process was a truce rather than a peace so as to meet the contextual needs of the political authorities, which easily ignore the interests of the individuals they rule over.
