ABSTRACT

The act of 'monitoring' does not just mean checking results or watching the progress of the strategies, although these are very important aspects of monitoring. What it really means is 'testing the team's continued confidence in the strategies they have chosen'. Evaluation is not only a vital and important stage in the Argenti System, it is also quite a complex one because so much detail is involved. Seeking authority for the strategic plan from the board and putting the plans into action are usually considered to be executive actions and not part of a planning team's brief; some believe that drawing up the action plans is not a task for the team, either. The main purpose of a business plan is to show how all the proposed projects dovetail together into a single coherent plan for the company as a whole.
