ABSTRACT

In the last two chapters of this book we intend to discuss aspects of our study that bear on problems and processes of agrarian development. This chapter will supply additional data on cooperative and competitive strategies and relationships in the Jasper economy, viewed as a problem in the allocation of resources and the accomplishment of desired ends. The next (and last) chapter is a summary of the entire book in the sense that it brings together all previously presented materials dealing with the processes of change and adaptation, and concludes with some recommendations for further developmental steps in Jasper and regions like it elsewhere.
