ABSTRACT
Egyptian official bulletins are no longer the balanced reports of the first days. The official spokesmen mention bitter battles on the central sector, but give little space to the IDF crossing. One communique does say: “During the battle, seven Israeli tanks infiltrated Egyptian lines near 252the Bitter Lakes, west of the canal. Three tanks were destroyed, and the other four dispersed.”
