ABSTRACT
The Missouri affair still persists. Moshe Dayan, after acquiescing to last night’s intervention on Sharon’s behalf, comes early this morning to visit Arik’s army corps. He chats a while with Sharon, and then proceeds to Southern Command HQ. He races down the bunker steps, his 283bodyguard – armed with a Kalachnikov made in China – chasing behind him. He is plainly angry. Inside the War Room, he convenes a number of the senior officers. His remarks are obviously directed primarily at Maj.-General Gonen. Lt.-General (Res.) Bar Lev isn’t present. He has gone to a meeting with the General Staff, and the Prime Minister.
