ABSTRACT
The authors specify the criterion behaviour for this programme as follows: (a) The student should be able to define the following terms and use
them with understanding:
(i) current
(ii) electromotive force
(iii) potential difference
(iv) resistance
(v) ampere
(vi) volt
(vii) coulomb
(viii) ohm (insulators and conductors)
(b) The student should understand the relationships between:
(i) potential difference, current and resistance of a load;
(ii) these terms when one or other varies.
