I approach the subject of finding locations for unwanted facilities from an unusual outlook. Hundreds, if not thousands, of articles and books have been written on the subject, often from the viewpoint of those who have fought siting authorities. A typical title might be “How We Stopped the Malathion Sprayers (or Mental Health Facility Builders, or Homeless Shelter Advocates) in Their Tracks.”
