ABSTRACT
The SYMLOG Consulting Group Optimum profile is designed for use in consulting to make comparisons of various profiles possible and easy. A separate Report has been prepared for each person describing the ways in which his or her total profile, received from all the other ratters, differs from the Optimum profile. The actual frequencies of the normative profile at this writing were obtained from a careful selection and averaging of several sizable sets of empirical data available at the time of last revision. Ratings of several strategically varied Images, gathered as a part of regularly repeated leadership training programs, provided what seemed to be an unusually relevant selection of data sources. Members rate leaders as to ideal effectiveness, leader’s rate members as to values actually shown in their behavior. This latter rating is the main correction of the "ideal" ratings to make the Optimum profile estimate more sensitive to "reality."
