ABSTRACT

The pressures against managing a business enterprise against all of those negative forces are so great that it requires new leaders and superior managers. Marketing managers develop plans with short and long-term goals and manage the activities and events in those plans. Research shows that money is not the main or sole stimulus for managers or workers to achieve: they are motivated more by social acceptance and respect. Leadership involves creating a harmonious workplace where staff can enjoy their work and working relationships. Lackluster leadership leaves managers and staff powerless to control events. Human resource companies have continually tried to head-hunt executives with the first four personality characteristics in the past, and most companies that hired them generally produced only lukewarm results. It immediately brings up the question of leadership style, since a CEO has to orchestrate human resources to have plans executed.
