ABSTRACT
RunCAL leaders have both a public and a private "face," image, identity, or self-however one might want to express it. As I shall argue in the next chapter, although the public image is what counts politically, in fact the two often merge, with the private affecting the public and vice versa. How exactly this works, and to what degree, will vary, of course, in particular cases.
