ABSTRACT
The systems presented in this chapter focus on measuring one or more aspects of therapist behavior in psychotherapy interviews. Two of the systems are multidimensional (Strupp and Truax), while the other three focus on assessing unitary therapist variables. All the systems involve rating scales representing ordinal measurement. Two of Strupp's five scales are the only nominal systems present in this chapter.
